Re-claiming checked-in baggage during a connecting flight!?

Usually you don't see your baggage until the final destination but ask at the desk when you check in. But in your case, on your return journey, I am almost certain you will have to reclaim it in Minneapolis, because that's where you are entering the US and you'll have to accompany it through Customs. Again, ask when you are checking in in Calgary.

Answer is spot on, u always go through customs on arrival at FIRST landing in country of destination regardless of any internal flight connections. Unless of course u have a stop over.
